A client I once worked with said that they believed everything they thought – especially the thoughts about being worthless, fat and ugly…
Believing those thoughts destroyed their confidence.
That led to thoughts about needing alcohol, cigarettes, chocolate and crisps…
Believing those thoughts destroyed their body.
So not all thoughts are helpful (or healthy)…
And when negative, worrying or faulty thoughts take hold, it can lead to anxiety, depression, obsessive behaviour, phobias, low self esteem as well as physical addictions such as smoking, eating problems, gambling and more.
Toilet anxiety sufferers, for example, worry they won’t be able to make it to a toilet when they really need one, making it hard for them to leave the house.
But even if your thoughts aren’t causing such immediate problems, they can still leave you struggling in life, feeling overwhelmed, having trouble concentrating and getting things done or making your relationships suffer.
To find out if you might benefit from seeing me, have a think about how you might answer some of these questions…
- Are you living true to yourself and your dreams?
- What would you change or do if you knew you could not fail?
- Who or what is holding you back?
- What is your most common negative thought?
- What do you avoid?
- If you wrote a list of everything that’s important to you, would you be on it?
- If this is as good as it gets… is it good enough?
There are no right or wrong answers, but if you feel there are things you’d like to change, then you could very well be a good fit for the kind of help I can provide.
So whatever the reason for your difficulties, please get in touch.
Together we can make positive changes in your life.
